It ain't the years, It's the mileage. I was raised a military brat, and wanderlust still comes over me every 3 or 4 years. Still love to travel.

Okay. So now I've got time to post

These are the Pictures I was going to post the other night.

I gave the let's say, digitally enhanced versions, to a co-worker who is retiring in about a week. They were a big hit in the office. I don't think any one had an idea that I had an arty side. Although, I do have some of my other projects on my cube walls. Not a lot. Just the stuff I'm particularly fond of.

Just goes to show you people do not pay attention to what is going on around them. I went off on a rant along those lines here.

Anyway now my boss is hinting around, "Well you know my Birthday is in July. I'll buy the frames..."

Original Digital Photo.

Got a couple of pictures I want to share

But Flickr is down for maintenance. Shucks. How quickly I've become dependent on them. At any rate, as I've said before. Flickr is one of the easiest photo sharing sites I've seen. And it's free. But I've already paid for the upgrade. That's how much I like it...

I was just on the Flickr Blog - a nice place to visit every once in a while, in my opinion. I see that they have been acquired by YAHOO. Not necessarily a bad thing. Could be improvements on both sides of this deal. I've used YAHOO for years now.

Looks like they've had a hardware failure as well. Not even Flickr is immune to physics. Magnets and electricity - go figure.

Stewart says:
Oy. We were back up before 8pm, but had some serious database replication issues. Working on it now and will report back with an estimate soon.
Keep up the good work guys....

So When Did I Become The Guy...

That Cops wave to from their squad car as they pass me on the street?

I guess we could also call this one

"Lamentations Of Lost Youth"

I used to be the guy that they would go out of their way to pull over. Once they had me pulled over, it wouldn't be long before they had me spread eagle on the ground in front of my car, with a pistol barrel in my ear. Once they called in my license, I was in deep shit, usually.

I was the bad seed. The one most evil. I had a Ba-a-a-d reputation. And it was well deserved. Even now half (well, half of those that are left) of my own relatives are not sure if they can trust me. But of course, Norwegians and Swedes have long memories.

Used to get my hackles up just to see a cop in the rear view mirror. Still does, actually. But not bad enough to make me do something stupid. Not any more at any rate.

And now they just cruise on by and wave. Or worse yet, they even stop for a chat every now and again. Gives me the Heebie Jeebies! But I talk to them, without getting my face shoved in the dirt.

I guess I don't look, or act like the outlaw I once was. I reckon that is a good thing?

(Sigh)

Nice day In Houston Yesterday

Took this picture at almost 7:00 AM yesterday.

This is probably the best time of year to be in Houston. Not too cold, not too flamin' hot. But just about just right...We won't have too many like this!
